Enjoy a mouthwatering Sourdough Crab Melt with a Filipino twist. This simple recipe combines the goodness of cracked wheat sourdough, imitation crab, and a blend of cheeses for a delightful, gooey treat.
In a bowl, mix together the crab, mayonnaise, Filipino spice rub, and parsley. Set aside.
Heat your pan over medium heat. Add half a pat of butter and let it melt.
Lay your first piece of sourdough bread on the pan. Then add a handful of shredded cheeses, and then add the crab mixture. You may add another handful of shredded cheeses on top of the crab mixture. That's what I did!
Place your second sourdough on top of the mixture. (I added a smear of mayonnaise on top to give a toasted look when you flip it over.) Toast the first side for about 2-3 minutes.
Add the other half of the butter to the pan. Flip your sandwich carefully then wait another 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden in color.
