Skip out on adding that smelly fish sauce for your Filipino Garlic Vinegar Sauce (sawsawan)! Its terribly salty and bad for you! If you’re Filipino, you know I’m talking to you! The NON-Filipinos are like saying, “Uhmm Yuck!” right now.

More props out to you if you are continuing to read this.  You’re probably a Filipino, or have a Filipino/Filipina Tootz, or just super curious in knowing a little bit of what some of the Filipino sauces are.

There are many sauces that we use.  This particular dipping sauce is commonly used in fried foods.  We like to balance oil with acidity. LOL!

Filipino Garlic Vinegar Sauce Sawsawan Naughty-Kitchen.com Healthy Heart Healthy Low Sodium

You’ll see the Filipino Garlic Vinegar Sauce or “suka” in most Filipino restaurants or households accompanied with Fried Fishes, Chicken Tocinos, Longanissas, anything with a fried egg and rice!  Look at the picture 🙂

Why I chose the ingredients for this Dipping Sauce

I noticed that when I visit my family and friends in Cali, they often have the premade vinegar and the high sodium soy sauce in their fridge or pantry.  Then I see the medications that they are taking and they’re all for high cholesterol or high blood pressure.  Geez! No wonder.

I know most of my family members AND BESTIES/HOMIES suffers from high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Lets make the right choices and use healthier substitutions.

I hope you consider my version that’s heart healthy as well as low sodium.

Aight I’m Outro…
