You’ll noticed that this recipe is similar to the Aglio e Olio (spaghetti made with garlic and olive oil).  Basically, a pretty simple Italian food to make.

This Meatless Balls Spaghetti in Seasoned Olive Oil can be squeezed into your weeknight dinner plans.  It’s quite easy to make and I am sure you have some of the ingredients in your kitchen.

If you don’t have Meatless Meatballs, feel free to substitute any ground meat you have or you can have them without the meatballs.  It tastes good plain too!  You may alter the seasonings and add your own.  I tend to add a lot of garlic bits and onions cause we like them here.

  • 1/2 package Spaghetti
  • 1/2 package Frozen Meatless Meatballs
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 small Yellow Onions (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • Salt+Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place meatless meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes or according to its directions on the package. Set aside when done.
  2. Place a large pot of water over a high heat and bring to the boil. Add a generous amount of salt. Cook spaghetti until al dente.
  3. While spaghetti is cooking, place a frying pan over medium high heat and add the olive oil. Add chopped onions, minced garlic, and all the rest of the seasonings. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the baked meatless balls in the frying pan and saute them in medium-low heat for 2 minutes.
  5. Next, add the spaghetti in the same pan and the reserved pasta water little by little if you see that it seems dry. Toss until spaghetti and meatballs are coated evenly.
  6. Garnish with dried parsley and red chili flakes and serve immediately after taking a picture!
