SWEET CHILI TOFU OVERVIEW
There are times when you have extra leftover ingredients that are stored as decorations in your fridge. You certainly need to use up what’s left before its trash day to throw those soon-to-be-expired goodies, right? I figured it has been a couple of days that half of a block of tofu has been waiting to be mouth bombed. I always look at the decorations in my fridge to see what I can whip up.
Guess what I found? Sweet Chili sauce!……Leftover rice!…..mushrooms and green beans! Now, let’s get your lazy bootays up and start 😉 Trust me, you’ll be like, “This is way too easy!”
- HALF BLOCK OF EXTRA FIRM TOFU – Cut into squares
- SWEET CHILI SAUCE
- GARLIC POWDER
- ONION POWDER
- FAVORITE VEGGIES – Mushrooms and green beans
- COOKED WHITE RICE
HOW TO MAKE SWEET CHILI TOFU BOWL
Start cutting up the tofu into squares. Chop the tofu into small pieces so they could fry faster and crisp up. You may cut them into bigger chunks. I usually use the same seasonings: garlic power, onion powder, and cumin. You can leave your tofu naked and omit the seasonings.
Then, sprinkle the seasonings and massage them. Throw the tofu into the pan with the hot oil. Fry the tofu to your preferred crispness for about 4-5 minutes. Add the sweet chili in the pan and caramelize them!
Prep your favorite veggies. Mushrooms and green beans were all I had. Grab a cup of day old white rice and microwave or heat it up on the stove. Didn’t I mention it was way too easy?!

- ½ block Drained Extra-Firm Tofu (chopped in to squares)
- 5 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce
- Garlic Powder (to taste)
- Onion Powder (to taste)
- Cumin (to taste)
- Oil for frying
- 1 tbsp #SWEETNESS
- Heat oil in your pan. Sprinkle all the seasonings on the tofu and massage
- Fry tofu to desired crispness on all sides, about 4-5 minutes.
- Toss in the sweet chili sauce and let it caramelize.
- Serve with your veggies and white rice
